Dear Clan War Players,

I would like to personally thank each one of you. Despite serious distribution problems, you've hung with Clan War because you believe it's a fun system and you aren't going to let short-sightedness in the supply chain take away your enjoyment of the game. As a gamer, I applaud you!

For numerous reasons, I will be leaving AEG at the end of June to return to a career in the "real world." I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at AEG and will sorely miss the wonderful people here, but the time has come for me to move on. Though not on staff, I will continue to support Clan War and work with Bob King.

I know there has been talk of Clan War being a "dead system" and my leaving AEG may add fuel to that fire but I don'tunderstand such talk. If I have enough figures to play a game, I play it and enjoy it, should I stop playing because someone else has labeled it a dead system? Clan War is not dead. Some retailers have given up on it... some distributors have given up on it... but there are many players, myself included, who have not. Sales figures are not what they once were, but it's still selling and I've not heard any indication that AEG will stop selling it in the foreseeable future. There are still numerous Clan War figures to be released, including some very cool new figures.

Again, I would like to thank all of you for the time and love that you've given Clan War over the last few years. I'd especially like to thank the game's playtesters (you know who they are) and the people that have gone the extra mile to support the game with websites, local tournaments and leagues, pictures of painted miniatures, magazine articles and reviews, and all manner of other activities.

Special thanks go to: Rob Bowes and Colen (Lone Wolf) for their Army Builder treatment of Clan War over the last couple of years they're good people; Mark Shurtleff for his character generator, general coolness and many other intangibles; Geoff Schaller for being the Clan War bounty hunter (there are a lot of other great bounty hunters, but Geoff has been at all the big shows to help me out), and of course, Bob "Kuni Tetsu" King, without whom I would surely have lost my sanity long ago.

The previous list would be incomplete without mentioning the sculptors who have worked on the miniatures we love they are all masters in their field and have allowed a small vision to become a major miniatures line!

Finally thanks to John Zinser and Maureen Yates for allowing me to pursue a dream... a dream that I have been able to live in and share for the last three years.

May all of you be fortunate enough to live your dream. I wish you long life, joy, and above all... VICTORY!

Banzai!
