Pre-approving armies does not guarantee event
registration - players must still register for the event through
the normal convention registration process. However, players
who do pre-approve armies are allowed an extra 50 koku for the
army (When you submit your army to be pre-approved, it may be
2050 Koku). Armies that are approved on-site or that require
modification for approval on-site must be 2000 Koku or less.
Armies should be submitted by email or postal mail to Geoffrey
Schaller at the address below. Entries must be received no later
than the Saturday before the convention, to allow for time to
approve them.
All Tournament Rules will be in effect. Please
visit Clanwar.com and Kyuden Hida for more information:

GEN CON EVENTS:
You Kill It, You Keep It - Bring your 1000 pt army
and take on AEG and the Bounty Hunters! Win figures for the destruction
and havoc your forces cause.
Thunder's Challenge (Day of Thunder) - This is the
opening tournament for the Thunder's Challenge storyline event
which will be continued in stores in the Fall, as a multi-part
climax to the Clan War saga. The Tournament will be in two separate
16-player sessions (Friday and Saturday), with the final round
(1st place from Friday vs. 1st Place from Saturday) taking place
in the AEG Booth on Sunday.
* Daimyo Edition Rules will NOT be used at Gen
Con. *
NOTE REGARDING L5R CCG FINALS: Because the L5R CCG
Finals Qualifiers will be conflicting with the Friday Events,
we ask that all NON-CCG players try to get in on Friday, to allow
for CCG Players who did not qualify to play on Saturday.
NOTE REGARDING WALK-INS: We do get a few drop-outs
at each event, and can usually take walk-in players. Players
who did not pre-register may sign up at the event on a first-come,
first-serve basis, and may use generic tickets to enter if slots
are available. (This is most likely to happen at Gen Con due
to the CCG Qualifiers.)
NOTE REGARDING PICK-UP GAMES: As Players are eliminated
from the Tourney, we will still have tables available to play
on. Players who were eliminated or could not make it into the
Tourney are welcome to play pick-up games on the AEG tables as
they become available.
Date: Friday and Saturday
Time: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (4 rounds, 2.5 hours each)
+ Final Round on Sunday at 10:00am
Players: 16 Each Day
Cost: $5
Event #: TBA (Fri) and 2463 (Sat)
The Friday Round is a late addition - if you cannot pre-register
for it, admittance will be on a First-Come, First-Serve basis
using $5 in Generic Tickets.

You may submit armies as Text, Word, Excel, or Army Builder
data files.
Email is preferred, but not required.
Please include your full name, email, postal address, and
a telephone number so Geoff can contact you to notify you if
your army has been approved or if it needs modification.
Remember, pre-approving armies does not guarantee event registration

are approved on-site or that require modification for approval
on-site must be 2000 Koku or less.
USING ARMY BUILDER: The Clan War data files have a
few minor bugs. To be completely safe, please double check your
armies against published force profiles and errata on Kyuden
Hida. With the release of AB v2, the Clan War data files will
include all of the new Daimyo Edition force profiles and rules.
Don't use the latest (v2) Clan War data files for Empire in Flames,
which will use original Clan War forces and rules.
Email Entries must be received no later than the Saturday
before the convention, to allow for time to approve them. Geoff
will make every attempt to get in touch with you if there is
a problem with your army (and will also confirm with you if it
is approved), but the more time he has to do this, the more time
you will have to make revisions if they are needed, and re-submit
your army. Armies may also be submitted in writing at the AEG
Booth up to the day before the tourney and still receive the
50 Koku Bonus. Armies submitted the day of the event are not
eligible for this bonus.
